The practice of Usability and Human Factors has been around a long time but in recent years it has become more in demand because Websites are finally being treated like the software applications that they really are. Unfortunately, many companies have made large investments in building technically complex Web applications only to find that their users are struggling to use them. These design flaws can result in lost revenue, increased help desk calls and a tarnished brand image.

GIEGER provides Usability Evaluation services to identify potential usability issues and provide improvement recommendations. We are highly trained and experienced in providing analysis and recommendations on both usability and visual design. Our services include:

	Usability Consultations: A low-cost service provided to clients wanting to receive a simple high-level 3 to 5 page report identifying general usability and visual design issues.
	Usability Assessments: A detailed 10 to 20 page report or presentation identifying specific usability issues that can affect the overall success of an application or website. Each problem is documented with screenshots as needed with specific redesign recommendations.
	Usability Testing: Identifying usability problems by conducting tests with actual end-users using a non-functional prototype. The tests are monitored, documented and sometimes video taped to identify potential usability problems.
